The Meredith Burgess Spirit of Life Award

The Meredith Burgess Spirit of Life Award is presented to an individual in Maine who demonstrates unfailing optimism and advocacy when dealing with breast cancer. A person who exhibits/embodies the spirit of “living with cancer” and who works to carry a positive message to other cancer patients, regardless of personal heath.

Those eligible include:

• Breast cancer survivors (those in remission and those currently battling cancer)
• Family members of breast cancer survivors
• Family members of someone who has died of breast cancer
